FioniaVet EquiDress Poultice is a multilayer, highly absorbent dressing designed for veterinary use in horses. Its construction allows it to be used in different ways depending on the intended application – as a dry dressing or as a cold or warm wet poultice.
As a dry dressing – suitable for application over wounds and areas with discharge where absorption and protection of the affected area are required.
As a cold wet poultice – used for cooling the tissues and providing local care for swellings and after physical activity.
As a warm wet poultice – can be used to warm the application area and maintain a moist environment.
EquiDress features a four-layer construction designed to provide both absorbency and protection:
The dressing contains 6 g of tragacanth, a natural gum that helps prevent the dressing from adhering to the wound.
EquiDress contains no added chemical substances and no boric acid. When required, it can be used together with other products for local wound care according to the veterinarian's assessment.
The dressing can be used for local wound care, in cases involving exudate, and whenever cooling or warming of a specific area is required. It is also suitable for use after physical activity in horses prone to swelling and fluid retention in the limbs.
